Professor John Rees MB BChir MD FRCP FRCPE FKC is Head of Medical Education and Dean of Undergraduate Education at King's College London School of Medicine, London, UK. He is an external examiner currently at two UK medical schools, and has an been external examiner at University of West Indies. Professor Rees is also a member of the MRCP Part 1 Board, an MRCP Paces examiner and chair, and an external examiner on postgraduate examinations in the West Indies, Sudan and Sri Lanka.

Dr Jeannette Naish MBBS, MSc, FRCGP has been a general practitioner since 1969 and has undertaken undergraduate medical teaching since 1981. She is currently engaged in teaching a variety of courses at the Bart's and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. She is also involved in curriculum development, planning and assessment.
Jeannette's main area of research was in using routinely collected administrative data for generating information that could be used to support health service policy, service planning and evaluation. Qualitative research with respect to patients' and health professionals' needs and expectations, and in particular research into ethnicity and health, is another area of interest.

Dr Denise Syndercombe Court C Biol, MIBiol, CSci, FIBMS, DMedT, PhD has always had an interest in Medical Statistics and trained in medical statistics in the 1980s and participated in the undergraduate teaching programmes in medicine and dentistry in this field.
Over the last fifteen years she has been involved in training and teaching many groups in Evidence Based Healthcare throughout the UK, being commissioned by various NHS Trusts, medical post-graduate groupings, VieLife and NICE. Denise is an external examiner on the MSc courses in Forensic Science and in DNA Profiling at Kings College London and the University of Central Lancashire, respectively and has recently been appointed Secretary-General of the British Academy of Forensic Sciences, and Secretary to the International Association of Forensic Genetics (English Speaking Group). She has appeared as an expert witness on many occasions and is regularly invited by the media to comment on matters of criminal identification.

Dr Andrew Wood BSc(Hons), MBChB, MRCS, DipMedEd, FHEA graduated in medicine from the University of Glasgow after taking an intercalated degree in Anatomical Sciences. He completed basic surgical training and then specialized in ophthalmology. He subsequently developed an interest in teaching basic medical sciences, specifically anatomy and pathology to medical undergraduates. He has recently been appointed as a specialist trainee in pathology in Scotland. Andrew's interests lie in teaching preclinical sciences such as anatomy, physiology and pathology to medical undergraduates.
